'oo svt with 47,000 doesn't seem to pull strong past 4000rpm so purchased the focus pump that was recommended here on CEG... NOT a direct swap!! the housing, wiring and fuel line were all different connectors! I operated though and took out the actual electronic pump and put in my old housing but car is still behaving the same way!!?? any ideas?

Clogged disc filter on the pump housing, fuel filter, secondaries not opening.

wow im dissapointed.. i remember reading that the pump was a direct swap.. why didnt it work for this guy? not cool.... as far as your question i bet its your secondaries dude.. check em out... maybe a snapped cable or they're just clogged... change the fuel filter too.. its at easy thing to do

i have changed the fuel filter, plugs, cleaned the maf, etc... car does pull strong when first started but after driving a little then loses the pull.

Did you take the disc filter off of the pump housing?

yes, also removed the disc on the bottom of the filter... the new filter doesnt even have a place for that.
