Have you had work done by someone you thought was good? Who do you recommend in suspension work?
Second question: What brand / model of strut sping compressor works inside the rear strut towers of our cars?

Get a cheapie from harbor frieght. yeah it looks cheap, but it'll work good because they are so narrow. You won't be able to get up into the tower. But, it'll do the job.

The rear springs can be removed without a compressor. Just use a large floor jack under the strut tube to compress it just enough to clear the perch and then lide it sideways and let off the pressure. Of course this has to be done after the rear suspension has been detached from the strut tube. Reinstall with lowering springs is even easier as it can be put back in place with a good grunt to shorten the length up enough to set it on the perch. Good luck and remember this is my own shortcut, not necessarily the approved method so do it at your own risk.
