on the 2000 Contour SVT's PCM/ECU when I jumper it so that I can run the Superchip, Can I still run the car without the Superchip, but with the board jumpered? Or do I have to un-jumper the board everytime i pull the chip off?

All the jumper does is activate the J3 port. You will be fine with or without the chip.

Just be sure NOT to pull the chip out with the key in the on position! Bad things will happen.

I received the chip today from KKM. Cleaned contacts, added solder to them, then did the jumpers, plugged the chip in, put the ecu in the car, and it fired right up! Runs great!
