I NEED a clutch. I have the clutch part already I just need installation. I have a SACHS automotive performance clutch kit. Everywhere i go i get an estimate of about $800 for installation. I have an autoshop at my school but dont trust myself it looks like too technical and dont want to risk it. I live in the Metro-Detroit area. Gimme some ideas

$800 is about right, from what I've read. It's definately not a job I'd want to tackle either Good name! You're the third Nate here.

from what i have read before $800 would be on the cheap side, make sure the shop knows what they are doing, it is a 9 hour job by Fords book. Friend had is clutch done at his local shop and it took the guy two days, since he had never done one before, and never again I beleive

A local shop did my clutch for $550 3 or 4 years ago - they said they'd NEVER do that again I'm doing my own right now (POS kevlar clutch ) - it's A LOT of wrench turning, but not an impossible task with the Ford service CD.
