I was over at a friends the other day and was checking some stuff on the engine. I appear to have a small amount of oil on my 4th plug. My friend says this is a blow by and that it is a small one. The car does not blow blue smoke or anything ..tells me not to worry about it cause there really is nothing i can do . Any imput on this guys ?

didn't understand a single thing in that last sentence. But it is probably just the valve cover gasket. There was a lady where I live who couldn't figure out where all of her oil was going. I had a friend with a honda (now my honda) whose oil would drain into the spark plug hole. I checked hers and sure enough, it was chock full of oil. every little bit of it. She had her husband replace the valve cover gasket and leak is all gone. So that is my suggestion to you. Replace the valve cover gasket. Like 10-15 bucks at autozone and a 10mm bolt and quarter inch drive ratchet should be all you need. Remember to tighten the bolts down in the correct order!

perhaps something got lost in the atlantic
if i read the original post correctly, the electrodes of the spark plug are oiling up.my reply explained that this is nothing to fear,as this end of the engine runs a bit hotter and the tolerances open up enough to allow a little oil past the piston rings.it may also allow this bore to glaze slightly, which again doesn't help oil control.
if the outside of the plug is covered by oil, then the corrective action you suggest is correct.and apologies to the original poster for misreading your plea for help
