I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. I'm testing my IMRC because it's not working. Cables look fine but I'm testing the box. I just bought a voltmeter. I want to make sure I'm doing this right... I put the key in the run position, probe the black/red strip wire with the red probe and ground the voltmeter with the black ground probe. What setting should I have the voltmeter on? I think it's 20 dcv. I should get fluctuations, right? I then grounded the black/red stripe wire with a paper clip. Motor doesn't engage on the IMRC. So the box is dead. Did I do this right? I should have bought a test light, simpler to use. Well the test light was 7 bucks and the digital multitester was 13 bucks so i went with the voltmeter.
Please clarify. Also, should I have to replace my IMRC box, I just buy the box, but do I need to remove the manifold to reconnect the cable to the secondaries? Do I have access? And, I'm lazy, I don't want to pull the manifold if not necessary to clean the lim. I was thinking of just pouring some cleaner in through the vacumme lines of the manifold. What cleaners to use?
Thanks,
