Not unless it has gone bad. One should have no effect on the other. You may want to carefully check the boot/seal. If one went out, the other one may be close behind. If the boot is cracked or split, I suspect it won't be long before the ball joint is also bad. But, I can see no reason for replacing it unless you can detect a problem with it.
