Here's a dumb one... Ok... my car died and had to be jumped. Now the defrost and wiper delay does not work. So I was going to check fuses... But when I went to find the fuse box, I couldn't find anything. I found the auxilary one in the engine compartment, but I couldn't find the main one. So I consulted my "trusty" haynes manual, and it said it was behind the glove box... so I ripped up the carpetting, and nothing. So then I read it says "see illustration".. So I look at the illustration, and it's just a drawing of what the actual fuse panel looks like, not where it's located.. bastards... Where the heck is it? Most gloveboxes are on the drivers side under the dash.. I've never seen one hidden like this. i feel dumb as hell that's for sure..

thanks

There are no dumb questions here!

Look under the drivers footwell. You'll see a fuse panel with a little black pull handle, pull that and the hinged panel will swing down.

what?!?

Seriously though...the fuse box is hard as hell to find... you've gotta get down there and search around for it... its basically under the steering wheel

lol yeah I meant fusebox... I'm really confused why the haynes manual said what it did.. eh, oh well. When I get off work I'll check it out. I didn't check there. The only place I did check on the drivers side was behind the pocket door below the headlight switch...

thanks guys. glad to know I'm not the only one.

You're not the only one for sure! I had this exact same problem, only with my radio connection, but I looked at the same manual and looked at the same illustration and asked myself, 'wtf?'

Horray for a working search feature too
