It looks exactly like a 2.5L with 1-3 extra mounting tabs and any one of 3-4 different intakes.

it's quite possible to do a straight up 3.0L swap including heads, lower and upper intake manifolds...

many people (including me) have a funcitonal one

the only parts you have to use from a 2.5L are the motor mounts, timing cover, and exhaust manifolds.... using the heads and instakes from the 2.5L is an option other people use to get higher compression (and a few more ponies)

here are a bunch of pics of a full 3L engine being installed

A straight 01+ Oval port 3L swap is a good idea.

An Escape 3L is highly prefered.

a 01+ oval port swap with svt intake manifold is even better correct? assuming you dont mind a little grinding

That is exactly what I am refering too.

Maybe we should name it. How about:

"Split Port Manifold conversion for operation on the new style Oval/Tumble Port 3L Cylinder Head Engine Swap"

...or maybe just...

"Oval Port Hybrid"

Has anyone completed such a mod? better yet... pics and charts?

Now that might be a project worth getting dirty for!
