It looks exactly like a 2.5L with 1-3 extra mounting tabs and any one of 3-4 different intakes.

thx everyone, now can ppl tell me if i would be able to use the lower intake manifold from the 3L and what size injectors they come with. I believe its 2001 or 02 seL taurus.

it's quite possible to do a straight up 3.0L swap including heads, lower and upper intake manifolds...
many people (including me) have a funcitonal one
the only parts you have to use from a 2.5L are the motor mounts, timing cover, and exhaust manifolds.... using the heads and instakes from the 2.5L is an option other people use to get higher compression (and a few more ponies)

A straight 01+ Oval port 3L swap is a good idea.
An Escape 3L is highly prefered.

a 01+ oval port swap with svt intake manifold is even better correct? assuming you dont mind a little grinding
98 csvt t-red.. sho-shop intake, b&m, fidanza, spec1 clutch, Torsen, DMD,optimized Y& TB, Brullen, rear strut bar,h&r's,17" konig traffik's.

That is exactly what I am refering too.
Maybe we should name it. How about:
"Split Port Manifold conversion for operation on the new style Oval/Tumble Port 3L Cylinder Head Engine Swap"
...or maybe just...
"Oval Port Hybrid"
