Just need to vent. I WANT OUT! So what if I can program in 7 different languages, I can't get a job cause I'm still full time at college! With any luck, full time spring quarter and an english over summer and then I'll finally get a break.

I'm right there with you. I just crapped out on an exam yesterday that I really tried to study for. The class isn't even something that I'll ever use once I graduate; its just one of those classes that they make you take. Fortunately I can drop the class if I can't pull my grade back up, but that's just another class I'll have to take again eventually.

I'll be so happy when I'm finally done with school.

Been in and out of college since 1996. I'm really f'n tired of it. People say I have a bad attitude when I proclaim, I just want to graduate so I can get a job!!

3 more years here

If only it were that simple... graduated in December and no job yet. At least I've had a few interviews... I was tired of school, but now I'm really tired of having nothing to do.

I am right there with ya pall. 3 years of boring a$$ classes, taking classes I know I will never use...I am honestly thinking about jumpin out and taking a job at GM proving grounds that some recruiter offered me

Ironiclly enough, I now have to go and write a 5 page critque on a story that is not even a page long...I'll use this when I am turning wrenches or working on a computer at GM

I'm in the process of switching my major.

I have four finals next week; glad though that three are decently easy classes. 2004 has been pretty nice to me so far academically (a whole lot nicer than '03 was!).

Don't think you'll ever have to tell your coworkers about the work you've done on the computer at GM?

College isn't about just learning how to do a job, it's about getting a breadth of education. You learn a little bit about a ton of subjects, and (theoretically at least) come out a better person for it.

I'm tired of school too. In fact, I took this semester off, and I'm loving every second of it. School is definitely not my thing and with IT jobs moving overseas rapidly, my major of CIS is not looking as bright as it was when i first started my major, 4 years ago.

So with 2 years left I am definitely thinking about a change in my major.

I feel your pain too. I'm in the middle of Finals week. This quarter has been rough, but next quarter is supposed to be one of the worst. To think, that after this year (3rd) I have another 3, which will most likely be followed by 3-4 years at grad school

Right now i am enrolled at UMC. And damn i am doing good. If you're wondering, UMC is the University of My Couch.
Actually i wish i could be in college right now. I skipped the first semester so i could get my shop up and running ( i was supposed to be in by november at the latest) then i figured i'd have a month to get comfortable, then in January start my Night classes at County. But all the remodelling and waiting for the old business to move out has taken a lot of time. Our carpenter has cancer, so he disapears a month at a time for Chemo. But its finally starting to take shape and i should be in in about 1 month. But becasue it took so long, i missed out on the spring semester at county. If i knew it was going to take this long, i would have gotten a job and gone to school. I get a few sign jobs, or van leetterings every now and then, but most of them time i barely have anything to do and its driving me crazy and is actually depressing. So yeah, right now i wish i could be tired of school, but i wish i was going.
