My '96 GL, ZETEC/AT, started a slight misfiring when under acceleration from a light or stop sign. I put new plugs and wires on it (double plat autolites and el cheapo wires ala Autozone) about 3 months ago. Pulled the plugs today to look at them. The two plugs with the shortest wires, nearest the coil pack, both had a carbon track down the porcelain where they had arced. Scraped the carbon track off and gooped some waterproofing dielectric into the plug wires on all plugs. Runs like a champ now.
Anybody else noticed anything like this before ?
