By "burned", do you mean clogged ??

You can gut them. That is, open them up and remove all the cat material on the inside. This is not a quick or particularly easy job as far as I know. Others will let you know what is involved exactly.

Well, the cats are not really meant to be replaced. They ideally should last the life of the car but often do not.

I gutted mine and have no issues with them gutted.
However I do notice a loud tinny sound when the car is cold as air moves through the empty chambers.
This goes away when the car has warmed up.

I notice your in Guadalajara. I go to Puerto Vallarta once a year and guess you have no issues with smog testing there.

How to gut pre cats
I used this to do mine. Back cat took 15 minutes, front one took about 3 hours.
I had my car on a hoist, which made it esier. Also you will need MIL eliminators for the down stream O2 sensors.
I got the ones from ponyexpress. www.ponyexpressperformance.com

same hear no problems with them being gutted although it took me a while to get it done, and it is surprisingly easy to do for what all it does to the car. And trust me you will fell the differencee and certainly hear it, about the car being louder when it i scold that is true but as it warms up it queits out but that is true with lots of performance exhaust systems

Have you checked your warranty book or with your Ford dealer? The pre-cats should be under warranty until 130k km, at least they are here and in US. May or may not apply to cars sold in Mexico.
What are the symptoms that make you think they should be replaced/removed?

The fuel here in México $ux, the warranty not apply to cars sold in Mexico. My cat was clogged the last year, so I replaced it. recently, I replaced plugs, oil, fuel filter, and the injectors were cleaned.

Then the car has strong sulfur smell, check engine came on, and under strong acelerations, the car has an air sound, like if something blocked the exit of gases.

I just have to jump in here and say...wow. I respect your knowledge of the english language. Not quite perfect, but we can uderstand what you're saying. I took 3-4 years of spanish and I couldn't type a conversation if my life depended on it.
