i just noticed that when i shift into 3rd gear that it will kind of grind or maybe i should say it will roughly go into 3rd gear. but it won't do it if i hold in the cluth for a few more seconds than i usually do or if i am not revving very high. i think maybe it is time for a new clutch or perhaps that my tranny fluid is maybe low. i was going to check the fluid on sat or sun., and it is odd to me it only does this in 3rd gear. does anyone maybe know of anything that it could be or has this happened to anyone else?
thanks, adrian

yeah I have the same problem with my tranny. It is most likely the 3rd gear synchro. I could be wrong, so start by checking your tranny fluid. But it sounds just like the problem I have. I just got a new tranny that I am gonna swap out shortly after I do the internal upgrades.
80% sure its a 3rd gear synchro. Maybe time for a rebuilt trans :/
FWIW, I drove on my bad 3rd gear synchro for about 18 months before I could afford to get the trans replaced/rebuilt. But it sucked, so I dont recommend it.
Yep!!!! If it is the syncros it will only get worse. I got my 3rd gear syncro fixed and 2 months later it happended again. Then it slowly got better. Now it is slowly getting worse again. I wonder if there is a way that it can come loose and slowly rotate???????? Ignorant is my name!

With bad syncros you can always double clutch and shift at lower rpms if they totally went out. It eventually becomes a PITA, but if you're tight on $$$$ it can buy you some time.
