I'm on the recieving end of a SVT bumper deal. Does anyone know how greyhound likes these things shipped, or the best way to package?

Or, if you're deal is like mine with skrilla187, Greyhound will refuse the shipment and you'll both end up driving a ridiculous distance to meet and exchange cash/merchandise

Greyhound refuses, no biggie. Use a common carrier like Yellow, Fast Freight, Reimer, UPS etc etc.. I have little doubt carriage can be had for under $85.

No matter who the carrier is, if the item is light enough to be handled by hand, it will be tossed, thrown and other evil things.

Bubble, cardboard and shrink. Bubble does scratch, consider foam instead or plastic wrap first.

Consider UPS if ur in the USA (they're not a good choice in Canada). Assuming Chicago to Buffalo, 80 lbs, 72"x12"x9" ground service would run $65. Not bad for a courier based on cbm rates without an account.

Avoid residential deliveries = $$$ increases. If whomever you work for has existing accounts, try to utilize those for better rates (eg. my cost to ship ups would be $38 based on my US account rates).

LOL, it's a wrecked bumper. I'm not too awfully worried about handling, as long as they don't break it in half. I'm repairing it and modding it to fit my 96. As of right now, greyhound said they'd take it. And they told me shipping would be like $47.

I had no idea, just made a guess. My bumper is on the front of the car, just where I like it!

Yeah tell me about it! Thats rural Greyhound for you. I ended up getting a SVT kit and it came freight. Shipping was a pretty penny though.
