When I got my car back from the mechanic I realized somethin weird. The clock in the dashboard had changed from AM/PM to a 24h display. Now I've got such un-american displays like 16:24, 13:05 or even 21:52  What happened to my American car? Does it want to show solidarity with me German, or are un-american vigors at work?

The car reverts back to a 24 hour clock for some reason when you unhook the battery. All you have to do is hit both of the clock buttons at the same time (the minute and hour adjust buttons) and problem solved.

I guess all armed forces have stopped using 24 hour time.

I use it on mine too. It's easier to know what time it is!

Yep: Both H and M button at same time, goes back to normal, I figured that out first minute I started to play around with it

Yes hit both H M at same time it will display 0:00 if you did it right then just set your time

Hehe, I have 2 clocks on my contour, the built in Contour clock is set in 24 Hr format, the clock on the Pioneer is 12 Hr time
