Well started the tranny work tonight. Got the car up on jack stands and pulled off the front suspension. It wasn't nearly as hard as I've heard, infact I believe it may have been one of the easiest suspensions I've ever worked on. Nothing was really stuck, well except for the axle wouldn't come out of the knuckle, but I'll just pull it as one unitl. Can't seem to get the driver side axle out, damn C-clip is in there really good. I'll probably have to wait til the subframe is dropped to get more leverage on it.

I'm a little concerned right now because I don't know how to go about a few things, but I'll figure them out tomorrow as I go. These things include how to keep the steering rack suspended, how to get on the steering rack bolts, where to put bolts into the engine to brace it, and how to go about disconnecting the hydraulic clutch system. Anyway, I figure it will be out after a good days work tomorrow.

Well that is the progress as for now. I'm sure 1 or 2 of you may get a call from me tomorrow asking a few questions.

best thing for removing the strut out of the c-clamps is use a large hammer and hammer on the top of the control arm (think thats what its called, connect to c-clamp) if you have it painted use a board inbetween to cusion the pounding to keep it from getting scratched up. when putting back in, hammer the sides, and put a jack under the control arm and jack it up slowly while hitting it. it will pop it in, in no time at all. I dont know anything else about what your doing lol.

How goes the tranny work?

For what its worth, I recommend Ford Honey w/ FM for the brake in period, then switching to Redline MTL.
Recommended by Terry.
Kept me from having any of the noises that others have complained about.

Yeah, how is it going? You didn't return my call buddy!!
Just curious if you dropped the transmission off yet. I'll be in this weekend so let me know if you need any help.

It's going...transmission is at the shop still. I haven't checked on it this week though since I've been incredibly busy. I'll have to respond more a little later I have to run for now though.
