My 97 v6 blew a head gasket and fried my heads at my friends house 200 miles from where i live. I figured this would be a good time to do a 3.0l swap, so i bought a 2000 3.0 from a sable and had it shipped to my buddy's. That was about 2 months ago and with a recent house purchase i haven't had time to go up there and even START the swap. Now my wife (it's her car) is getting on me about getting it back. So my question is there shouldn't be a problem with switching the heads from the 3.0 onto a non-svt 2.5 should there? Are there any other parts from the 3.0 i should consider swapping over while i'm doing the heads?
Thanks for any help.

The heads will "bolt up", but the combustion chamber is larger due to the larger bore of the 3.0L and you would have a "mushroom" effect. This would expose the head gasket to the combustion chamber and it would probably blow another gasket in under 5 minutes. So, to answer your question ... NO
