OK, it all started a week ago, right after getting some gas - or so I hope thinking about the easiest explanation - while driving I can feel that even if I let my foot from the gas pedal - a teeny tiny bit - the car kinda chokes a bit, kinda even jerks a bit but very subtely - also, while idling - sitting in traffic or whatnot - I see that the RPMs are kinda flactuating - not a lot but some. Now the effect is more pronounced after I drive a while for like 20 minutes - when the car is ice cold it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Now, the idling drops are not the biggest problem - whehever I start driving from the streetlight or something - I have to press the gas pedal very very carefully - otherwise I feel the engine is gonna stall on me. When accelerating pretty steadily - I don't feel no problem.

... and finally whenever I park - the engine dies this very moment after a coupla seconds of struggling...

My thoughts:

1. bad gas (I wish)
2. since I got OTB - maybe it's the throttle positioning sensor
3. O2 sensor? Dunno - I have not CEL on.

Whatcha think fellas?

Tnx.

Very well could be bad gas. Do you have a chip? I found out after being chipped, my car doesn't like wal-mart gas. Have you ever replaced your pcv valve? You should get this alex pepper's scanner www.obd-2.com could help you diagnose a problem. Could be o2 sensor, but I doubt that very highly,, even if you end up replacing the sensor, something causes the sensor to go bad and is the true cause of your problems.

Have you changed your fuel filter recently?
Maybe time to clean your MAF (or air filter if its really bad)?

Before you buy any parts to fix it, take off the EGR and clean the crap out of it. You will need a crows foot wrench, I bought the wrong size so I had to mod it to fit. But just get the right size, its not very hard to get off. My car was at its extream, it wouldnt take off from the stop light without a ton of hesitation. I cleaned the EGR and the car runs perfect. Could be a number of things although. My car is acting up hardcore again, but whats new!

Well, yeah my ride got a chip, but I always get the highest octane number available.

Fuel filter - never changed it, but true - could be that.

EGR - yeah, I am gonna clean it.

Airfilter - nah, I don't think so, I guess I put only about 3K on my new one.

MAF - how one cleans the MAF? U mean - the outside of it + connections?

Tnx.

Remove air filter, spray non-residue electrical cleaner on the MAF wire. Let dry,, done.
