Ah the contour is back to the same old sh*t. Last week it was like -32 below, for a couple of days, well I finally got a day off of work and my block heater wasnt running, so I went to get it fixed. Anyways the car wouldnt start, tried warming it up, but nothing. Towed it into town, block heater cord was bad, mechanic got the car started. So I thought all was well, until i was driving home. When I step on the gas to the floor, the car stumbles and hesitates, and the RPMs will go up but speed goes up very, very slowly. If I step on the gas gradully, the car runs fine, but as soon as I step on it the car stumbles and hesitates. It will do this when im going 15 or 70, and any where in between. The mechanic changed oil and said there was a bunch gas in the oil(I guess from trying to start it for 2 days, I flooded the crap out of it). I replaced spark plugs but no help, wires, coil is brand new in august, fuel pump is new, fuel filter is new. Any ideas, I think its a fuel delivery problem.

First off, run the KOEO and KOER codes. As you have a 95, you can do this with a paperclip.

The computer's self-diagnosics may well point you toward items that are in need of correction.

If there are no codes issued, my suspicion would be either a MAF sensor problem or a fuel delivery problem. You can unplug the MAF sensor and run without it to see if the driveability issues are addressed.

I've been having the same lately.

It seems like it is soaking heat.... but it is 20F !!


I dunno if it is related to outside temp or maybe the K&N or even the MAF.


But in my case, it only happens if I try a hard push from 15/20mph .. not at 70mph.
