Call Terry Haines.

secondline@ameritech.net I think that is his email address.

He has whole transmission and if you snap a photo of it he could help you out.

Yes the MTX-75 is still made for the Focus, but the bell housing is different. If you get a junk yard trans it will be at the same risk as the first one that grenaded.

At a minimum you need to get a 2000+ shift tower for it so that you don't blow your diff again.

There HAS TO BE a transaxle available for your car from FORD.
They may be on a NATIONAL BACKORDER but you will eventually get one.
Ford has to, by law, make replacement parts available
for all of the vehicles it manufactures for 10 years,
after the cease of vehicle model production.
Accessory and trim items are only available for 3 years.

So tell your Service Manager to dig a little deeper...

Okay don't laugh, but seriously I bougth mine from Autozone...I worked there so i got it for like 750 or so, but they retail 1k with exchange... Midwest transmissions builds them and upgrades everything...the shop I had mine done at said they were very impressed with the quality they saw, and that was from a very reputable shop. They even used that WAy expensive sealant...the red gooey never dry stuff.
