wondering if anyone had heard both and what they thought. i know they are in same price range, and eD handles 500 wrms and adire handles 650. i've heard that the sq is similar, but i've never compared em. i also dont know if the shiva will fit my box, i gotta check out the volume if i can find their site

nevermind i just realized the shiva would only present a 4 ohm load cus its only available in dual 8 ohm
anyone know of a sub in this range that could handle 600 wrms (actually 700, cus i plan on using a 600.1)
i'm think about the k series but i dunno

Contouranado I still have a ed12K bumping in my trunk. I'm moving to Cookeville in June to go to TTU. We oughtta meet up and you can hear my Elemental sub. I haven't heard the Shiva, so I can't comment on its quality.

Yes it's the flat cone style. I like the sound. It's very clear and crisp. The lack of displacement is compensated by the huge suspension and linear throw. The flat cone moves a lot of air, therefore a lot of SPL. Plus, it just looks cool!

what are u using with the k?
see on their website it says 450-650 wrms
and then lower down on the page it says 250-450 for a 1.0 box
and 150 to 250 with a 1.2 and i think thats what mines gonna be after displacement, but i was planning on using a 600.1 most people have told me that it should handle it if i dont turn it past half way very often, but im thinking about getting the o series instead
i dunno

by the way i cant find it anymore, do u know the displacement of the k

My K is powered by a Rockford Fosgate 150S stereo 37.5 x 2 @4ohms or 75 x 2 @ 2ohms. My sub is wired in a bridged 2 ohm load, so the amp is givin 158wrms x 1 @ 2ohms, as is the max on the spec sheet. So 158wrms pushes my sub. I listen to it very very very loud a lot, so honestly I wouldn't bother going up to the O or especially A unless you are really into SPL. As for the displacement, do you mean of the back of the sub in the box, the amount of air moved by the sub, or the size of the box interior? On ED's site, they have blueprints for different box types. I built the small sealed box on the site as per spec and it performs very well.

by displacement i mean how many cubic feet the sub takes up. my box is 1.25 w/out sub, and i want to know what it will be after the sub is installed
the reason im thinking about the 0 series, is because im a little scared about giving the k 600 wrms. if i did that i would lose my warranty, but i've talked to people whove gave it that much power but they didnt specify how much box volume there i was, i didnt know .2 cubic feet made that much of a difference in power handling but according to eD, it does
