Guys, I finally need YOUR help!
I was having intermintent problems with my drivers window. Sometimes it would go down but not up. Then if it was going down and you pressed up, it would stop, then let go of the button and it would continue down.
I could here the clicking inside the door, thinking it was the relay located in the door, I replaced it. Nothing, same problem.
So I replace the regualtor cince one of the cables looked pretty bad. Nothing, same thing.
Any ideas if it could be something else? Maybe I should try the window switch also.

I am moving to Team Ford as of 08/01/05 (www.teamfordlv.com). I will post new info when it's ready.

I'm having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM, posted about yesterday but it's a few pages down. Chances seem good it's a problem with the wiring connector but I have not had a chance to dig into it yet. That seems to be the 2nd biggest cause of window problems.

Bill,
I had a similar problem on my 2000 Navigator (it's for sale, BTW).
Finally figured out that the switch was capable of sticking "on the edge" and it would sit there and make/break contact.
Replaced while still under warranty.

I am having the same problem only it started with my rear passenger door, then onto the front passenger door. Now It's the driver's side door just happened about 30min ago and I can't get the damn thing to go back up and it's snowing out (I put a plastic window cover over it (aka a garbage bag)). I get the clicking but no upward movement, at all. I can hear the power be drained while holding down the window switch.
Please help...sincerely my wet as$ seat.

I took it to the shop last night 2/10/04 and they said the switch was dead, and that my other 2 (passenger side) are probably the same problem.
So, the cut the relay wire so I don't accidently hit the wondow button and my window stays down.
I kinda miss my tinted window, nothing like a garbage bag flapping in the wind.
Anyone know where I can get 1 drivers side switch and 2 passengers side switches?

Talking to two of them atm, hoping for around $25 plus overnight shipping.
I couldn't find any passenger/slave switches I need 2 of them.

didn't see that Bill actually started the thread
Hey man, if those fall through, call the guy that started the thread. He's a great guy that works at a ford dealer in Vegas.
