Well basically my current mechanic is not fixing my car right. I did a 3l hybrid and it runs but i think it might have a vacuum leak and my tps sensor code came up as well as an o2 sensor. I have been waiting for almost a year to get this thing going and i just need to find someone who knows what they are doing. I live in snoqualmie washington and right now i only have like 7-800 dollars so get a tow truck or anything is pretty hard. The car runs but is running pretty lean, and it has an idling problem, if anyone can help me out it would help me out so much, this is just becoming a huge frustration and i am mechanically inclined nor do i have tools or a garage or anything, any ideas are appreciated.

Do some asking around on the board to find out exactly what is wrong. You might try the 3L forum for that. After you have a good idea or a couple you can probably take it to a dealer and have it worked on. They will probably be the most knowledgable source you have even though they are expensive. No other options for you though. I hope you get it running.

Well i have been getting help from the 3l forum and i think i have talked to that guy from anacortes last year, but since he's not around that won't help out right now. I don't really want the ford dealership to touch my car because last time i took it there they had all kinds of problems so i was hoping there was someone in the area who has had experience with the contour so i don't have to go through this big ordeal again. I am going to get it checked for a vacuum leak this weekend and then start moving on to sensors. The tps and o2 threw a code when i got my ecu scanned, i might just need to find somewhere that can check each sensor and it's voltage.

Well I know of one that did a great job of fixing my contour, but it is in Tacoma. The name of the shop is Zyggi's. It might be a bit far for you though.

Well i actually found someone who is going to bring a vanagon, diagnostic to my car. I already have a full ford service manual and i think i am just going to try and troubleshoot it this weekend.
