Don't piss off Couture, Tony. He finished 6th in a Neon ACR at last year's Nationals, only 25 thousands out of fourth. He's in our class this year. Make him mad and he'll come to Kalamazoo just to annihilate us all by 7 seconds...then he'll try to sell us Amway. BTW, the site worked on my computer, but I'm afraid to sign up for fear of SPAM!! Sorry, Mr. Couture but I'm fearful of anything from a man that ICE RACES!!!! He could probably come to the Kalamazoo event with studs in his tires and beat us all!!

(sorry for slightly off topic long message in advance) LOL! Obviously from my "credentials" you know that I'm one of you... a dedicated car nut. MyAutoEvents fills a need I saw in the automotive enthusiast community and kept me busy over the winter instead of turning my ice-racer into a submarine (thin ice this year = no racing ). I'm doing what I am with the site mostly out of a labor of love. So when someone comes down on the site I may take it a bit personal if I'm not in a "constructive criticism" mood. I'll admit that my browser restriction is currently based only on browser vendor and version. The real problem (that I'm aware of) is the Netscape 4.x browsers on WinBlowz. I had *so many* complaints about how slow the site functioned with that browser that I had to do something. After 16 hours over a weekend trying to restructure my code, I don't want to say I gave up - more like ran out of time to devote to a problem with a simple solution: Update your Browser! Truthfully, I don't know if the problem extends to the Sun platform... I don't have access to that platform to test. What I'll try to do is open up the site to Netscape 4.x on the Sun platform. If Mr. Future IBM employee ( ) would be willing to give it another try on Tuesday and then drop me a note at webmaster@myautoevents.com I'd appreciate the follow-up! For those of you not wanting to use Netscape 6 and with an aversion to anything Microsoft - there are a couple alternatives: Opera - http://www.opera.com Mozilla - http://www.mozilla.org Personally, I prefer Mozilla - very fast without all the clutter of Netscape 6. Oh, and two other points: 1. I will NEVER sell the MyAutoEvents contact list to ANYONE. That is stated in the Privacy Statement (link on the bottom of every MAE page). 2. One more Amway comment and I WILL come over to the western part of the state and put a whoopin on some Contour ass! Great forum... you guys seem pretty cool!

OK Couture, you sold me! Especially that part about whoopin Contour ass, which I know you can. BTW, I"m currently trying to get a 2002 Neon ACR "for my daughter." That Grassroots Motorsports article was pretty convincing.
OK, this old 47 year old non-computer literate type will try to muddle through your form. Thanks for making your site available.
Mission complete, thanks. We need more folks!

Hey, what class would a 1998 Contour SVT be? (The only mods is a racing harness, so it should still be within 'stock'). My car is in 'CS' for Solo I racing. Is it the same for Solo II?
Also, last year we had special Spring Zing classes (SVTS for example). Should I wait for those to be on the class list?

Steve, Hey no problem, (future IBM employee  who knows, it might be the otherway around , that fact that IBM is 10x bigger than Sun doesn't scare me! ) I just can't change what I'm running at work. I can at home, and will give it a try tomorrow. TB Who began teaching Java Converts in 1996

Hey Steve,
Thanks! Now that I have the URL and a free moment at work, it works!
I'm using Netscape 4.79 on Solaris 8, BTW.
