yes this is best location for you to run a wire through but with a rubber grommet. i have done this on many tours while installing audio systems at my old job. and i have done it this way for my svt and i used 4 gauge wire for my system.

So if I want to drill a whole for my 4 guage wire...should I drill from the inside of the car in? Just drill under the carpet between my gas and break pedal as far up as I can go? I don't want to take the wiper cowl off again and go that route, so I'm definately going to drill...someone walk me through this real quick because i'm installing my wire kit saturday. Thanks guys.

Hello, I just ran wires for my subs and the best way i found was to go behind the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side, the fuse box comes off very eazy.
