Hi Folks

My parents are thinking of visiting DC this summer. What part of the city is the best to stay in ? They will be flying in/out, will not be driving while there and wish to do all the touristy stuff.

Expedia.com shows the city grouped in different areas; Capitol Hill, Downtown, Arlington etc.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks ...... Mark

Check this map for tourist map of DC.

If they're primary objective is to sitesee (Capitol, Linoln, White House, Monument, Vietnam Vets Memorial, Smithsonian, Natural Museum of History, etc.) downtown would be best.

Stay north of the mall i.e. the big pencil!

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
