I was wondering if it would be possible to discumbobulate the VCT on my Tique. I could swear that I can feel the timing change after the car shifts to 4th (OD), it's as if it shifts into another gear and loses a little oomph.

The reason there's so much ignorance is that those who have it are so eager to share it.

Not really.......I got rid of the gear (with adjustable cam gears) and got a CEL.....and as far as I know all you can do is turn it off with a custom chip.

To tell you the truth I don't get on it that much and I haven't tried it with OD off, reckon I should give that a test also.
I didn't splain it very good last night (droopy eyes) but it's like you hit a very defined cutoff. It doesn't roll off to a plateau, it's a sharp transition from building revs to zap you're done reving, very disconcerting.

Could be the converter locking up or whatever the tranny does,, just more noticeable in 4th gear than in others.
