O and as of racing. The only racing this bike will ever see will be on the track here at Houston Raceway Park, but that too will not be in the near future. Also with my bike I extended the warranty to 5 years, so I will not be modding it either. At least for the first 5 years

Is that your first bike? my bro has a cbr now and is lookin into buyin an RR as well. He was telling me that he's read horror stories about guys who buy that bike as their first and end up dumping it before 1000 miles. good purchase though. i've seen lots of aftermarket goodies for it. i love the exhaust set up. drive safe.

Yes first sports bike for me, Ive been riding motocross for a while and wanted to get a street bike to cruise around town on. As for dumpin it before a grand, So far so good, Ive been extremly cautious and try not to put myself in dangerous situation, the most part of the danger on the roads is others not respecting motorcyles spaces. Ive been seeing that since Ive got the bike, people just dont respect street bikes at all, they tailgate as if you werent there they cut you off as if its a gost bike and they switch lanes like there is a free lane righ under your honda. besides others inconsiderance Ive been doing just fine.

Word. I was quoted 4000 a year for a 2002 F4i. Needless to say my bike dreams were put on hold for a while.

Good choice on the bike. I am very jealous.

I've ridden with a couple people who have CBR600RR's, and I must say they do look very nice. Most of the 600's that are coming out now are crazy fast! I just can't wait till spring to get back on the road

I'm 17 and was quoted ~$700 a year. Of course this is on a ninja 500 which they don't classify as a sport bike,, though I don't know when I'll get one, the new ones look like crap.

I pay $185/year for my YZF600R. Here's some advice for ya'll. If you raise your deductibles to $1000, insurance on your motorcycle becomes waaaay cheaper. Call your company and get a rate quote, you'll see.
