I just replaced my tail light now my head light went out.  is it easy to replace the bulb?

you should be able to do it easily just pop the hood reach behind the light and remove the bulb. replace with new bulb
if you cant fit your hand in there, remove the two screws ontop of theheadlight and loosen the lower one. slide headlight assembly out..replace bulb

I think the pre 98 only has three screws also. father replaced the passanger light after the car was fixed from hitting a deer, just so the headlights would match

Nope, the Pre 98's are a pain in the a$$ to remove the whole assembly, they have these 3 clips (not screws). You're much better off just removing the bulb.
To remove the bulb, just reach behind the assembly and you'll feel the bulb harness. Just twist the harness (can't remember which direction, but guessing it would be CCW) and it'll pull out.

I agree, pulling the whole assembly out on a pre98 is a pain in the nuts.
