OK, I've got the mods listed in my signature installed, and the BNM CAI going in (the exact one pictured in the post by bnoon). My question is, what should my next performance mod be?

I tried to mod the safety qand stability stuff first, to prepare for power later. Now it's time. I am new to the modding thing, having never done so before. Now at 35, I'm acting out what I had wanted to do as a kid. Let the fun continue.

I will preface the choices by saying that appearance mods are coming, but I have apln for that already. Also, try to keep in mind that while I doubt I will ever T/C or S/C it, a 3 liter swap is possible. Also, keep in mind that I have a Borla catback coming fromthe GB. With that known, whast's next?

papdage's next engine mod

PnP Heads
Multi-pass Extrude Hone
Upgrade Tires/Rims
Streetflight Chip and Tuning

Thanks..

If you think any particular order is necessary, or think I forgot something, let me know.

Before anyone says anything:

Yes, I know that Rims/tires is not an engine mod.

Can't edit now though..

I voted for that also. Do the heads if and when you do the 3L. Do the intake next, then wheels, look slow go fast

Out of those choices I would also go the chip route.

Should I just call streetflight, tell them my mods and the fact that my catback will go in also and have them burn me a chip, then tume? Or, should I get in a dyno run first?

I figure the initial dyno may not be 100% necessary since the guys at Streetflight would be able to get me within 90% of peak without it and then save the money for later additional tuning.

Or am I wrong?

Streetflight chip. As said, wait until the 3L to do the head work. The EH probably isn't worth the huge price tag.

By the way, I expected some gains from the headers without a new catback, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound comin gout of the stock exhaust and by the seat of the pants impression. Feels very nice on the low end, almost no drone, and great general passing power.

Should the chip not be the last thing he does if he has engine mods in his future? Im yet to have a chip made for my car yet, but that's because Im wanting to wait until after I get the Venom nitrous kit installed.. Why should he chip it now?

I personally would do other mods first(especially with a 3l on the way), but out of the choices listed, I'd chip it.
