JVC Arsenal KD-SH9750 I am thinking about getting a new HU for the contour and am wanting MP3 playback. It will be hard letting fo of the original factory HU, but I think I will survive without it.  I am also going to be getting speakers eventually and want a good base to start with. I probably wont get to crazy with the set up, though. Any one have one of these or know about them? What would your other roccomendations be? Thanks!

It's a great HU IMHO. I had an SH909 which is very similar, just last years version and I loved it until I fried it recently  I may be looking to pick up that exact model myself pretty soon.

Ya, I just bought the DXZ-735. The only real diff was 80 colors rather than 728, and doesn't have a mechanical face-plate. You can get it from Crutchfield for $200 shipped (free shipping). I have to wait to put it in...

I do like the look of the SH9750, but am not offended by the others. Not sure how the silver will look on the dash though.

I just bought that HU. waiting for it to come in. Chack ebay. I got mine for $236

Yeah, I heard really good things about that JVC deck. If you can get a good deal, go for it.

I've got the JVC SH-909 and couldn't be happier with it. It's a really solid deck with great features. I can't imagine that Arsenal deck being anything but better. The only thing that's disappointing is that they didn't keep the white display.

I noticed on the Crutchfield site it has the option of purchasing the 50 dolla adapter to 'integrate a high-powered aftermarket receiver into select 1988-up Fords and other vehicles with premium factory systems' .
My first thought is Premium my arse, then my second thought is do I really need this thing? I am guessing not but just wanted to clarify.
How if the installation for one of these? I have never put in a new HU to give you an idea of who you are dealing with.
Found some good deals on ebay and am trying to hold out until Feb, but we will see how that goes.
