Okay, so I was at my cousins for the weekend and my friend shows up and tells me that, on her way here, her radio, lights, and other electronics just cut out. Her car continued to run, however, and when she tried to start it again, it was dead. I attempted to give her a jump (no pun intended), but her engine just wouldn't turn over. Now, shortly after, my CEL comes on.. It seems to coincidental for it to just come on.. Could if have been from the jump?

Probably not.

Go have your codes read so you know what the CEL is trying to tell you.

Did ya check the fuse, if nothing is working,check Aux Fuse box(in engine compartment) - Fuse #1. I could see that fuse being a problem for causing all the electrical to fail inside the car. Fuse 1 is color: Black, and Rating is: 80, but thats if she owns a contour... if not, ignore half that

And if you hooked them jumper cables on wrong, you mighta ruined one of your components under your hood, that battery coulda been full...
