Ok here's the deal. My check engine light came on 2 days ago. Since my dad and I have one of the auto x-rays computers, we hooked it up and scanned it. It said my Bank 1, Sensor 1 was dickin around. We cleared it, which shut off the light and it came back on yesterday. I did it once more for the hell of it, but naturally it returned 15 mins later. I'm thinkin just to buy a new 02 sensor for about $60, unless anyone has had this problem and knows of a solution. I think it's just time to replace.

When my CEL came on with that code (running lean bank#1) I replaced both O2 sensors but the problem didn't go away until the MAF had been replaced (just cleaning it wouldn't help).

I had the same error code pop up on mine. I told my father about it and so while i was at work he took it to Ford to get it fixed. I guess mine was lean too, well they replaced it and now it runs better than ever, no cegs now

Time for a new sensor. Might as well replace both of the uppers while you're at it.
