I recently took a road trip and with my 98 ATX Mystique V6. I left it in the cold (-20 to -30 C) overnight for a few nights and when I went back to the car to drive home I had no heat.

The heater wouldn't work, and the ABS light was on. I am assuming it is the #3 fuse that has blown, because it controls the ABS and Heater Blower.

My question is this. How do I change it? It says in the manual that it must be changed by the dealer (along with two other fuses), but I don't see why. I already purchased a 60 amp fuse. I took it to Canadian Tire before leaving for home on the trip so that maybe they could do something, but they said take it to the dealer.

I am just looking for a way around this, somebody must have some advice. Does it screw in from the bottom or something? I've tried pulling as hard as I can, used a flathead screwdriver, and still no luck.

I'd like to get it fixed ASAP, because I have to drive with the windows down otherwise the windshield and windows will fog up and make 0 visibility. By the way, I don't recommend driving home from a 6 hour trip with the windows down during a Canadian winter - almost experienced hypothermia.

Any help would be appreciated,

Alex
