There are 2 plastic lines on top of the intake on 2.5 duratec. One is brake booster. The other ???? I wish I knew what line it plugged into or where it ended up. Can anyone help?

It supplys vacuum for all the other systems that need vacuum to operate. Your AC system uses vacuum to open/close the various doors/flaps.

thanks, If anyone knows where to get vac diagrams I could really use that info. I paid a friend to switch over upper and lower intakes to save myself some time. Had a part car for reference, he tore that apart when he took out intake, now ive got a cluster f*$%5 on my hands here. He has some things broken and some things switched around. If anyone can help i am working on it right now and i can use all the info I can get

If he broke the plastic fittings going into the intake manifold, do yourself a favor and pick up some new ones from Ford. Comes with the line if I remember correctly. I did this when I first bought my car becauase they had tape wrapped around the fitting where it was removed previously. Does wonders for a smooth running engine when you don't have any vacuum leaks. I also purchased vacuum assembly where all these vacuum lines come together. Haven't put that on yet, but will when I pull the engine next week.

A vacum diagram should be under the hood of your car.
