i know the Mazda 6's is made by Ford but thats about it. can we keep this forum for and about FORD Contours or at least fords! congratulations, u got a New Mazda, now u can move on to a Mazda forum!

The person you're refering to has just as much right to be here as any other and just because he no longer owns one does not mean all of the years he did drive one don't mean anything anymore. He is knowledgable about alot of other stuff as well as the contour. & He's been here for many years and has contributed alot more than you have.


Hell, he even runs our SVT database.

you guys crack me up... thanks for the honest feedback though, really.

I've been kinda weirded out myself now being a Mazda owner, and being the moderator on this CA Forum on CEG... I kinda accepted the role after Ray passed away - I guess 3 or so years ago now.

Trust me, I enjoyed my SVT and have always been a contour fan since their US 'birth' back in '95. Unfortunately, Ford didn't have a mid-ship car with a 5-speed anymore (since the demise of the '97 SHO and '00 SVT) - so I figured I'd go for the foreign cousin...

The Mazda6 is 100% designed in Japan, but 100% built in the USA. The only "Ford" part is the Engine Block - that's it... so I'm like .05% Ford now (First time for me)

I put the Mazda Rev It Up post here just because I thought it may be a good time to get out and thrash some new cars, and if we show up in a group - everyone can share the Contour love

It wasn't meant by any means to showcase Mazda, it's just that Ford only offers this stuff to SVT members... plus, who the heck wouldn't love to thrash around in an RX-8

So I DO hear you... and if you guys have a common "contour" owner that you'd like to replace me with - not a problem, Chris (FMR12B) is still here and a great friend. I'll still be hanging around the CEG parts for quite a while...

Even though the CA forum has gone 'stale' in the past year, the CEG forums are still one of the BEST examples of how enthusiasts can come together and share a common friendship, all because of a 1 1/2 ton vehicle

oh - and don't forget to GTFO! (insider joke)
