I live in northern CA and i am looking to buy a contour SVT. One problem, i cant find anyone who wants to sell one. I'm looking for one with relatively low miles and any color except for green. Thank you.

I just got my KBB trade in value on my 99 SVT T-Red w/ 50K miles and listed it at Good shape. Came back at $7,200. Private Party around $8,500 and dealer retail around $9,500.

Keep an eye out on the AutoTrader.com site as well call the SVT dealers in the bay area as I routinely see/hear about SVT's on the used lots. If you tell em your looking they will definitely get back to you.

These guys posting are obviously being sarcastic as there prices are well above dealer retail even with the mods they listed.

Best of luck out!

heh.. I don't know if they are being sarcastic, or just showing how much it would take to part them from their much-loved cars...

Personally, I know that if I were to sell my SVT, I would definately want more than the pathetic blue book value... Especially if someone out there were interested in paying more.... heheheh

But, as Fmr12b says, you shouldn't have trouble finding an SVT at a dealership. They have connections, and you can sign up for extended warranties, etc....

Cheers,
Tom

I'm most definitely joking! I'll take it if he has it, but I don't expect it. I still owe $12,8xx on mine....just got it about 9 months ago for 13,500.....
I didn't know any better and now the SVT dealership close to me has a 99 for $8,966!

Thats weird mine booked out on www.kbb.com for $13,500. And thats the AVERAGE private party selling price, give or take for condition and mileage. And you know dealerships are going to sell it for more than that.

Too bad you are a couple days late. I just traded mine in on Friday. Would have loved to have sold it to you. I'm sure the dealer is going to charge an arm and a leg for it now though, after all I did get 10,500 for trade in value, I was quite surprised.
