sad day for the contour ... i dont know what to do...... i guess this is going to be a junker, kind of messed up when i still owe 8500 on it and its on no fault insurance, any advice???

that really sucks, but honestly, what did you expect? when you use that stuff, you take up the risks that come along with it...

Nitrous won't do that unless something was done wrong.

well i had it installed "professionaly" and all i did was turn the bottle knob to open, turned around started the engine and as soon as i started it the engine area busted into flames.

So whats this have to do with never buying a ford again? Ford had nothing to do with a botched N2O install.

I'm sorry to see this happen, but I would also be looking at the place that installed it for you because if this happened after you turned the bottle on I would have to guess that the nitrous solenoid was incorrectly wired or defective.

no offense to anyone i loved my svt, but personally ford sucks.... they fell off years ago and stopped making quality parts. im not blaming ford for the nitrous or this time, but i am blaming them for the other 5 grand i had to use to get the car fixed, like when my transmission and clutch went out, my clutch went out on my twice actually, im driving down the highway and my sun roof fly's off, i mean wtf was that about, i bought my svt from a dealer and it didnt even have the svt brake system on it, theres alot of things that went wrong with this contour, and the thing is i had a 95 contour gl before this and i had the same problems..... sorry but never again will ford get any business from my fam... next car hopefully a bmw 3 series... sumthing reliable you know... something foreign.... as for the solenoid, thats what i think it was too.

Well, is not the solenoid wired to the key? Maybe it had to do with turning on the bottle before starting the car and the solenoid was already firing??

I don't know much about nitrous systems yet, but that would be my best guess.

mmm ok u must be gay or sumthing, im telling you what happened and i dont know what that looks for... they had a regular contour brake kit on it... i bought the car used.
