Tonight I went to do a KOER test to my sisters car and discovered another problem: The damn car wouldn't start!!! It's like one problem after another...

Oh well...I first noticed that the fuel pump was not making that "whirring" noise that it normally does for 2 seconds when the key is turned ON...so I checked the Fuel Pump Relay and Fuel Pump Fuse and both were fine...then I tried to do the KOEO test again just to see which codes I would get, and found that the PCM would not even enter the Self-Test Diagnostic Mode!!??

So I checked the fuses again and found that one of those weird looking 20 amp fuses for the EEC was blown!?

I hope this isn't going to be a repeat problem that keeps happening as soon as I turn the key to ON!!

Anyways, I have a few questions:

1) Does blowing the EEC fuse make it so that the engine will turn-over but NOT start?

2) Does blowing the EEC fuse stop the PCM from powering the Fuel Pump when the key is turned ON?

3) What is the usual cause of blowing this fuse?

THANKS ONCE AGAIN!:)

Which wiring harness? You mean the whole Recall thing? No...but the reason is because I would rather DRIVE the car in to get the Recall done instead of having it towed in, and then have the work done in about 2 days, and then have the possibility of that not even fixing the problem, and therefore having to have it towed out of the dealer and back to my sisters house...

If the car was drivable, I would be bring it there right NOW. But, it just kind of looks retarded bringing it in without knowing 100% whether replacing all the cracking harnesses will actually FIX the problem or not...

Plus, Ford is supposed to give a Free loaner car for up to 2 days to get the harnesses fixed...if I am towing the damn car in, I can see them arguing that they shouldn't have to get a loaner car if my car isn't even running...

Does that make sense???:)
