I was wondering if anyone here has used sites like Priceline.com or Orbitz.com or anything like that to get cheap airfare. I'm trying to get to Amsterdam or London and being a college student I dont exactly have a wad of cash to blow. I'm not leaving until May so I figured I still had some time to figure it out. If you've had any kind of experience with a site like that I could really use some help. thanks

I would hit the airline websites and go from there. United was advertising $199 Ea Way from San Jose,CA to all destinations in Europe last week. So cheap flights are out there without using Priceline or Hotwire.com. Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia use Airline Web sites rates and sometimes charge extra for processing fees.

If you don't care about flight times, layovers or the like Priceline is a good choice.

Orbitz has a Students site... StudentUniverse I think. You can find it on the Orbitz site. At worst they'll give you the best price that anyone can get on Orbitz, but sometimes they'll beat that price considerably. Flights to London are surprisingly cheap. Once you get to a major city anyways.

www.sidestep.com

It goes through all the airlines websites and the travel sites like orbitz to find the best fares. Someone here recommended it a few months back and it's worked great for me.
