i have a question regarding the stock SVT gauges. i know that they are white-faced, but what do they light up as at night? Are they your typical green with red needles? Night pics would be greatly appreciated.

the numbers light up green, the needles are orange/red, at night the background looks black, i think they are sweet, sorry no pics

Sounds like typical Ford gauges then, even though they are white faced in the daylight, following the trend of the Cougar and the Focus.

they have a sort of orangish glow coming from behind the needle base also. I wish the rest of the gauges (numbers and such) had that glow to them, it looks great.

The problem with them though, is that as you drive under streetlights in the evening and at night, the background keeps changing from dark to light. Also, in medium-low light, the background looks grey and the numbers don't stand out too well.

Ya the stock have very very poor backlighting, I was very disappointed.

Also agree with papdage, poor design for night driving.

I have no problems seeing mine at night.
