I have mine under the seat cushion....that is what my local shop suggested, but i'm sure other people use other places here.

right now I have my ground wire on one of the bolts for the brake light but my amp is not switching on at all, and this is the only thing I can think of, i checked all my fuses and they are ok and the amp worked fine when installed in my other car. so I wonder if any one else has had a simular problem with this ground location

Is the grounding point free from paint? Did you check the stereo signal wire?

Former owner: 1999 Contour SE Sport Current: 2000 Eclipse GT There are three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way! Isn't that just the wrong way? Yeah, but faster!

it looks to me like it is free of paint. the more and more i think about i think that it is more than likely the remote wire

I used the power Antenna mount on my SVT (pass side of trunk) Also get a digital volt/mulitmeter. You can find out why your amp is not turning on in a matter of minutes instead of guessing. Makes for a very handy tool when working on your car.
