Guys and gals, I tried emailing the contact email address on the homepage looking for advertising information. Does anyone have any contact information for the owner of CEG? It would be much appreciated. We've expanded our SHO business into other cars, one of which being the Contour. If you all wouldn't mind, please have a look (www.advancemotor.com) and let me know if you see any errors. I've gone from having to know about one car, the SHO, to about 20 cars. So I'm sure there might be an error or 3 or 23. Choose the contour as your car... You can do that by clicking "select vehicle" on the upper left side of the screen. If this post isn't allowed, please feel free to edit out the blatent plug, but I would still appreciate any information on how to contact the head of the forum. Thanks Guys! ~ Mike Kopstain

Mike, If you take a quick glance around the site, you'll see that we don't have any advertisements. That could be why he didn't respond to an advertising inquiry. We're completely funded by our members! Lance, the owner, doesn't want the hassle of dealing with advertising...
Feel free to leave the link in your sig... Stick around and answer questions and give advice where you can -- that can be your "advertising."

Mike, I'd say the first thing you should do is get a website set up that works. You choose a vehicle (Ford) and then the only choice is to cancel that selection . If I go and browse items it just keeps coming up and telling me that you have no products for my make of car . Not a very good first impression to the customer.

doug- you have to select contour from the drop down menu and it will take you forward.
A GO button would be nice there.
I only see some Taylor wires, cat back exhausts, JET chips, Eibach, struts/springs and that's about all I see.

yeh everything worked for me although it took me a few clicks to get the contour page to 'go'....nice looking site but i think the drop down menu is kinda clumsy...that maybe should be improved somehow other than that get some parts in and build up a good rep and dont rip anyone off or offer something u cant provide to the ceg and u'll be good to go good luck, mike

OK, got it to work that time. Don't understand the poor navigation design on that drop down. The rest of the site looks good.

It would be nice to have a product count for each sub-category so the customer doesn't have to click on the category to find out whether or not there are any products in it. For example:
Air Management
....Filters (2)
....Intake Kits (0)
Brakes
....Brake Hoses (0)
....Fluid (0)
....Pads/ Rotors (9)
....Upgrade Kits (1)
You dig?

We've actually established a great reputation in the SHO community. We are one of the two biggest vendors.

This and other comments about navigation are being taken into account. The website isn't 100% as far as functionality is concerned, but most of the contour stuff we will be carrying is there.

Actually, we will be coding it so it doesn't show categories that don't apply to a specific car. Currently, that is my biggest personal gripe as far as navigation is concerned.
We carry a lot of items for the Contour... Off hand, Quaife, Baer brake kits, rotors, pads, a couple exhausts, struts (koni, KYB, Bilstein, etc), springs, clutches, pretty much everything made for the car that is made by the bigger name companies.
Thanks for the input and comments. I'll bump this post when we get the sorting system worked out, so it's a little easier to see what we offer.

Not to rain on your parade but isn't it illegal to steal stuff (i.e. pictures) from other peoples' websites? As in your icons that look exactly like Truck Performance's ?
