OP SVTStan Newbie S Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 2 St. Louis, Mo.	Hello, My name is Stan and I live in the St. Louis, Mo. area. I recently bought a 1998.5 Contour SVT, #5597 / 6535, and instantly fell in love with this car. The car has just over 30,000 miles on it with the following mods...Borla ss cat back, BM short shifter, upgraded MAF with KN filter, larger rear anti-sway bar and a Kenwood head unit. I will be autoXing this car in ESP class using OZ Superleggra 17x7 with Falken Azena's in 225-45-17. Is there anything i should be looking out for with this car as this is the first Ford i have ever owned ? Thanks in advance !! Stan 1998.5 Contour SVT Black / Blue #5597/6535

I suggest replacing your water pump before 60 or 70k miles as a preventative measure especially if you will be driving it aggressively. Do a search on water pumps and don't forget to search the archives when you have questions, there is a lot of good info there also. That has the info from before we upgraded in Aug. 02.
