Hey guys, I want to put my Kenwood cd player from my old car into the contour. Crutchfield gave me these 2 pronged things that you are supposed to be able to stick in to the sides of the stock radio and pull it out. They say to apply outward pressure (which I've tried) and pull. Problem is, nothing happens. Any hints would be appreciated, otherwise I guess I'll have to remove the molding around the stereo to get at it.

Thanks,
~Matt

Removing the moulding won't help you. The tools they gave you should click in. Then when you push out, it should slide right out. Try pulling harder or pushing the tools further in.

If you start to get pissed while removing the stock HU, walk away for five minutes! You don't want to rip out the molding.

I had a hard time to, when I did do it right, pushing the tools outwards, it came right out.

put the tool in and bend outway like this

<---: hu :--->

then pull out simply pulling out doesnt get it out and the tools come flyout and start to strip because the clips are still in the same place minor detail im sure everyone forgot i take it out everytime i go to get my car serviced cuz they said my HU is the cause of my hose problem

let me know if it works -=)
