I was riding today and caught a glimpse of a cross country Volvo (the stationwagon). They have smoked sidemarkers on them. I was wondering has anyone attempted to use those on the contour? I thought these would be a lil different then the audi sidemarkers, which seems to be the norm. I think they are directional too.

Ppl installed bimma (3rd series) side markers and it looked good and didn't require dremeling. The main this is to see whether additional opening/cutting is needed...

Im banking on no dremeling since they are both "ford" products. Hopefully that means some consistency but just my luck none what so ever. Whats the whole size behind the emblem? .25" square or circle, i thought i read that somewhere

How much are the BMW side markers? Remeber the audi side markers being around $30 for both. I called a local volvo parts store and they said they have them for $43 a peice. Thats a lil pricey but maybe worth it to be different.

And what about the size of the hole behind the emblem quarter inch circle or square....anyone....anyone....anyone....

If I had to venture a guess , without going out & removing a sidemarker to check , the hole is about 5/8" (round hole) .
