Hey guys.....What is the fix for this?

Sometimes the little trunk release at left of the driver's seat acuates the trunk and sometimes it does not open so we have to use the key?

Thank you

open the trunk and take off the plastic/carpet on the right hand side and get to the lock mechanism.. look at the cable that is attached to the lock... the cable is probably stretched.. you can take up the slack and get a better pull on it so it opens the lock with the first pull......
and shoot some WD40 into the cable covering and move it back and forth so as to lubricate the cable.... maybe that is all it needs the lubricant?????

There was something in the FAQ or HOW TO sections that touched on this, It said to put a piece of weatherstripping behind the catch pin to give the door "that little extra spring" but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Maybe it will work for you though...

If you find that the Cable adjustment is the trick let me know....
