Two door questions:
The ol 95 is showing some signs of old age. The front door bushings must be shot because the doors sag and I can actually lift them a couple millimeters (enough to feel slight slop). Has anyone fixed this and what are all the parts involved (latches, hinges, bushings..?)
Secondly, since I bought the car (30,000k) the left rear door has screetched when opening. I initially thought that something was bent or whatever because no amount of silcone lube fixed the problem. Now, for the last couple months the other rear door screetches the same horid sound when opening (and i mean loud....embarrassingly!) I can't use the search right now but I don't recall seeing this mentioned elsewhere. Anyone else have this and what's the deal?
Thanks again CEG.
Oh,one other thing. I needed parts to fix my exhaust right behind the Y-pipe. When I went to the dealership, they only had a diagram showing a flex pipe where instead mine has bolts and springs....I know this is the original exhaust so what's the deal? I can't even order the dome shaped metal spacer that couples the two pieces!

Open the rear doors and put some grease on those flat pieces that go from the door to the frame. They are not sheilded from the elements and rust over time, causing a horrid squeal when the doors are opened.
The ATX has a flex pipe, manual does not. Make sure they are looking at the right exhaust diagram!

Moving this back up.
Funny that just a day or two before you posted this, I noticed my front pax door wasn't closing and opening perfectly anymore. Closer exam revealed that it sagged, ever so slightly, as it came off the latch. I'm very interested in any responses to this.
As for the other, I've discovered the wonders of white lithium grease. Used it on the doors and the moonroof track.
Function before fashion.

Usually w/ sagging you need NEW door pins(not from the junkyard)...the pins in the hinges. They should only be a couple bucks at the dealership (famous last words ). Just tap them out from the bottom up (similar to your doors in your house), do one hinge at a time completely & grease the pins good. You shouldn't need to remove the door for this (put a block under the open edge of the door so it doesn't drop when you remove the pin, or have someone help hold the door)... You can see how they wear thin once you get them out, allowing the door to sag.

Word. I keep a can of White Lithium spray grease in my trunk for my doors. When the temps dropped here in the Seattle area recently, the previously mentioned flat metal part started squeaking like mad. No rust on mine, just a lot of metal to metal contact.
I spray my doors maybe twice a year.

Great! Now MY rear doors are starting to squeak, too! It must be an epidemic! I'm not looking forward to going out to fix them either while the temps are in the single digits.
Has anyone had any problems with the outside door handles? For a little while now, both front door handles give a bit of resistance, then snap free when pulling up to open the doors. Is there some way to lube them without pulling the door panels?

Not the best way, but I sprayed a load of silicone lube into the door latch area, freed the handle operation up nicely.

So the problem may be with the latch, rather than the handle...guess I didn't consider that. Things that make you go hmmmmm.
