OP bklynman01 CEG\'er B Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 65 columbus ohio-from brooklyn NY	does anyone know about having the "Ford Countour GL" emblum(or however you spell that) on the back of your car. i want to take it off completely, and just paint the car over. i've got scratches all over and would like to paint it again anyway, but if i'm going to, i want to take off all the "identifiers" on the car. is it legal? do i HAVE TO have that ford symbol on there? 96 contour gl columbus ohio

I would say your ok but ask rod he's a cop in dayton. I hate to say it but sometimes my car is mistaken for a Taurus and even worse a Escort! I am leaving my Contour SE badges on. These are areas police check to see if your ride is a stolen vehicle. The officer will know the "make" of your car by running your plate. This does not give color/model in Ohio,anyway.
