On my way to work this morning, here in Kansas, where it's been drizzling for a while, freezing drizzle I might add, I wrecked. Basically, I was in the far left lane, and I was going about 55-60, a safe speed, as everyone around me was going that speed, or faster. I was following some random car, and I noticed a truck up ahead (a plow sort of thing, it had flashing lights), and it was going slow, so the car in front of me slowed down, so I did, nice and gradual as I always do. Well, it felt like my brakes barely worked at all, because i pressed on the brakes ever so slightly and not much happened, I knew I was screwed after that. I went sideways, across 3 lanes, missing everything, and about flipping my car, only to land in a ditch, and slam my left rear side into the ground/rock wall. My rear axle is most likely bent to hell, my back bumper is unrecognizable. My exhaust most likely sustained heavy damage. I have a giant dent/scratches (or no paint at all) on that back left side. My left rear wheel was halfway out of the tire, bent inwards. My front left corner lamp is busted. My windshield spider-webbed in about 4 places, because the car contorted in such a way due to the impact. Both aigbags deployed on impact. Random weather strppings and smaller things busted or broke off in the collision. After I got out, my car sat like so. Front wheels both on the ground, in mud. My left rear wheel planted firmly in the ground, bent inward. My right rear wheel completely off the ground, touching nothing. My car was basically over the ditch. This happened about 4 hours ago. My first big wreck/wreck ever. It's more than safe to say that my car is entirely totaled. I walked away from it, literaly, with just some random soreness in my left leg and arm, and a little whiplash/back pain. I'm aight though. I'll post some pictures up once I'm able to.
You can see what my car looked like in the pictures in the link below, so you can compare when I get the new ones.

Dang dude that suck bad! What are you going to do now? Another Contour? I feel for ya, if it was me I know the car would have more damage because I'd take out my frustrations on it. Good luck.

Hey I know you got into an accident and all but I have a question.
If those rims are in good shape still, no dents or anything and will fit a 14" inch tire would you like to sell them?
I like them and if by some miracle they arent damaged I will buy them if I can afford your asking price.
Rims only, no tires.

Well I had my winter tires on anyway, which you'll see when I get pictures up. Those rims (Rage Breakers) are sitting safely in my garage. I'll let you know if I want to sell them.

first, sorry to hear about the accident man. second, are you going to part anything out? i'd be interested in the dtec heatshield if you let it go, and the pro-flow 75mm. keep us tuned in with news and all.

As far as parting the aftermarket parts out, I'm not sure. It's kinda up to the insurance company, and if they decide that they'll let me have them, but take that much money off the check, than I may decide against it because I'll be losing out. But I'll let you know.
